Nestled in Southern Connecticut, just north of the Long Island Sound, lies City Carting & Recycling, Stamford’s own waste management service, who has been in business for over 35 years. We prides ourselves on running a tight ship both in our large, modern recycling facility in Stamford CT, and out on the road when serving our 11,000 independent clients. We like to think we know a thing or two about waste management, and a large reason we’re experiencing success within the industry, is the passion we have to constantly provide for our community.

Waste doesn’t just disappear once it leaves your garbage can-- there’s so much more that’s done when it comes to sorting and re-purposing. When speaking in terms of recycling, City Carting’s single stream recycling center is one of the largest in the area. We proudly haul bottles, cans, and other recyclable materials into the facility, and sort it out.

One of the most rewarding things about our facility is the ability to showcase and present the operations to those who are interested. When current clients express interest in how the entire process works, we are able to occasionally bring these individuals in, giving a full tour of how the facility operates, and all resources that we use to make it a seamless day at work. Most recently, some of the faculty members at the New Canaan Country Day School expressed genuine interest in learning more about our services. In return, we were happy to bring a number of them in to give them a full understanding of a typical day at City Carting.

On the other days, waste management is our focal point. We’ll send one of our state of the art trucks out from the fleet, for complete roll off service. Whether you’re in a residential neighborhood, or own a business, we’re there. We’ll come by, do our business, and be on our way-- So quickly sometimes, you might not even notice we were there!  

And we don’t stop at the normal garbage pickup-- if you’re in need of a container because of a large amount of waste, we have that too. Our versatility is by far what sets us apart from the rest. Do you need a 30-yard container? We can happily drop one off to you! Don’t worry about anything else. At City Carting, we’re here to listen and we understand your needs..

Sometimes what you need doesn’t have to involve big trucks and front-load containers, either. With personal information being extremely important these days, sometimes you need the reassurance that your documents have been properly disposed of, and can never be used for the wrong reasons. We offer confidential paper shredding, on-site, in front of your eyes. Additionally, you’re invited to watch the process, confirming it’s completion. We’ll also provide you with a signed certificate of destruction, upon request.
