Reusing Boxes & Cardboard

Cardboard is arguably one of the most common things you’ll find in a garage, basement,
or in storage at a home. Packages come in this material, they’re used for moving, and even
basic insulation and fragile material protection! But cardboard has more use than you might
think -- especially beyond the normal things it’s tasked with helping out with. Check out some
of the cooler ideas you can use cardboard for at home!

Insulation

Whether you’ve got pets, or you’re just a little cold, cardboard can provide a cheap insulation
for you during the colder months of the year. An outdoor pet home can be double-lined with
cardboard between, underneath and inside -- and alternatively, the same thing can be done
inside of a makeshift shed or treehouse! These small additions of wind reducing and
nsulating material is a cheap option usually not thought of by many. Just keep it dry!

Work Station

If you’re the type of person who works on the floor a lot, cardboard might be you and your
driveway’s best friend. Imagine doing an oil change with the ability to protect your concrete
and your back at the same time -- with almost no added cost! Slide a large piece of cardboard
under the car and use it to rest on and catch oil drippings.

Crafts!

With the kids (or even by yourself) using cardboard to create little crafts that can be decorated
is an easy and free way to pass time and get in touch with your creative side! Additionally,
cardboard can be used to help separate items in drawers and cabinets that need a bit of
sprucing up! Just paint and enjoy!
